Stuart brings a wealth of experience to the board having previously been involved on a number of committees in both football and local community circles. Some of his past roles have included stints with the Cardinia Shire Council, board of the Kooweerup Regional Health Service and chairman of the Kooweerup Senior College and Kooweerup Primary school representative.
At the 2014 AGM three board members this year, Ian Glen, Ken White and Gerard Bongiorno, who all volunteered to stand aside in accordance with the constitution that says 50% of the BOM must stand down after a year - were all re-appointed. The appointment of Stuart Halligan makes it a full seven member board in 2015 that will comprise of Chairman Roger Gwynne, Vice Chairman Ken White and Director of Football Operations Ian Glen. The other Directors are Gerard Bongiorno who will again oversee Junior Development and Paul Pratt Commercial and Business Operations while Laurie Inness for the second consecutive year will head the tribunal.
With the league decision to revert back to a 15 team one tier competition in 2015 it is the intention of the board to invite a delegate from each club to the board meetings on a regular basis next year.
