The E.P Livestock and Real Estate 2015 Norwood Football Club academy assembled for the first time on Dec 7th in Wudinna with 28 players attending from various areas across the Eyre Peninsula.
David Oatey (under 18 coach), Robbie Neill (under 16 coach and talent manager) and Ben Warren (league coach) conducted the session over 6 hours, which included a pathway and academy talk, AFL type testing in the local gym and a football session for 3 hours on the Wudinna football oval.
David Oatey was highly organised as usual and videotaped each player’s kicking action that attended and then took time across to the afternoon to review it with each individual player, whilst Robbie Neill took the players through some game type scenario training with Ben Warren on the oval.
A big thankyou to EP Livestock and Real Estate, Clarke Pomeroy Hull accountants (joint major sponsors of the program), Jeff Neale and Paradise Motors (BT-50 Mazda for the 6 hour trip) for allowing this academy to happen. Thank you to Andrew Taheny and Andrew Buckham for ensuring the session ran smoothly and also to the staff that organised lunch, coffee and tea at the Wudinna football club.
It was a terrific day for the Norwood football club meeting players, parents and various administrators across the EP. We hope to see you all again on January 17th and 18th in Ceduna for our next session.
