Manly-Warringah have lost a third premiership player to the VFL following Brayden Fowler's signing with Frankston. He joins former Phelan Medallist Tyrone Armitage and 2013 Rod Podbury Medallist Lachlan Kilpatrick in the VFL following their signings last week with the Northern Blues (Carlton's Reserve Grade side).
Fowler, the 2014 Stan Milton Trophy winner, was chased by numerous clubs across NSW, ACT and Victoria but reluctantly decided to return home to Victoria to continue to persue his dream of playing at the highest level so agreed to terms with Frankson in the VFL for the 2015 season.
Only playing one season in AFL Sydney, Fowler quickly established himself as the dominant full forward of the competitions kicking an impressive 82 goals for the year to cleary win the leagues goal kicking award.
Fowler's dominance around goals saw him selected in the AFL Sydney Representative side and his form up forward continued there with an 8 goal return against AFL Canberra which saw him awarded the best on ground award from the opposition.
Fowler's departure, along with that of Armitage and Kilpatrick will leave a big hole to fill for the Giants as they look for a Premier Division three-peat in 2015.
