In addition to new playing kits, Brisbane City this week unveiled two new shirt sponsors for the upcoming PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland season.
City will partner with Veto Sports for three new kits in 2015, with Luxury Paints and Zone Fresh to feature prominantly as sponsors on designs to be unveiled closer to the season start.
Luxury Paints will serve as the back of shirt sponsor for City’s Senior Men, Youth Men and Under 18 teams, while Zone Fresh will be the club’s sleeve sponsor for the same teams.
Luxury Paints will also appear as sleeve sponsor for City’s junior PlayStation 4 NPL sides, as well as academy teams.
The announcement comes following a busy off-season sponsorship recruitment drive by the club, which is expected to culminate with another major sponsorship announcement later this week.
Brisbane City captain Mat Biggins, star striker Antonio Murray and coach Glen Volker joined club board members at a sponsorship event on Monday at City's Spencer Park.
Brisbane City Sponsorship Committee Chairman David Asnicar welcomed new and returning partners to Brisbane City’s sponsorship group on behalf of the club.
He explained stronger commercial partnerships will provide benefit to all club members going forward, with the club’s juniors and academy sides set to benefit most from the investments.
“One of the things we’ve spoken to our sponsors extensively about is that we want to produce the best junior talent possible in Queensland,” Asnicar said.
“To do that we have to retain the best coaches and upgrade our equipment and facilities.”
He added that the financial assistance of all sponsors will see the club further investigate building artificial training pitches to facilitate junior development programmes.
Asnicar also said City recognised the importance of engaging their sponsors for the benefit of members and the club alike.
“The Club has an obligation to our sponsors to provide them value otherwise we won’t be able to retain them,” he explained.
“So one of our targets here is to engage our member community to support our sponsors, we want our sponsors to stay in the game with us as we grow the facilities and the coaching structures and help us build our club.”
