Blacktown Magic have announced their coaches for 2015 with Ash Moeller and Leighton Corr once again being named senior coaches.
Club Senior Coaches: Ash Moeller, Leighton Corr
First Grade: Ash Moeller, Leighton Corr
Second Grade: Darren Edmondson, Daniel Clifford
Women’s: John Dimond
Under 19’s: TBC (Currently taking applications)
Club President John Clifford had this to say with the announcements: “After a very successful 2014 season in which we reached the Grand Finals in both grades, and took home another flag, we are very pleased to retain our senior coaches.
“Both Leighton and Ash did an incredible job taking the Senior team from Division 3 to grand finalists in Division 2, so to have these two men as coaches again in 2015 is a big positive for the club.
“Similarly, Darren and Rowan Theel did a tremendous job developing a raw group of footballers, and a premiership was just rewards for their hard work. Unfortunately, Rowan has moved to Melbourne with work and we wish him all the best. This provides the opportunity for Daniel Clifford to come in to the role of Coach in 2015 for our Division 4 side to accompany Darren.
“We are also very excited to announce John Dimond as the coach of our inaugural Women’s Senior side. John is a Level 2 coach with extensive experience coaching Junior and Senior sides. We look forward to having John and his family involved at the Magic, and building the community of our new Women’s team”.
The Magic are also looking to submit an Under 19’s team in 2015, with significant interest already received for this. We will make an announcement on the coaching status there at the appropriate time.
Pre-Season training commenced at the Magic on Wednesday November 26 at Blacktown International Sports Park, commencing at 6pm, and will be running each Wednesday for the next 4 weeks.
