The annual Pacific Rim Championships provides a Referee’s Education and Development
Programme and we are currently looking to fill the following roles to enhance these
opportunities at Easter 2015:

Referee Supervisor:
This position involves on court managing of the referees for the venue. This person will
ensure that the assigned referees are on the court properly attired, ready to start the game
on time. They will assist the Court Manager with crowd/coach behavior and will assist the
referees with keeping people off the courts during time outs and game breaks. There will
be a per day payment of $50.00 for this position.

Referee Coaches/Evaluators:
This position involves being on court evaluating each game assigned to them. They will
provide feedback to the Referees during quarter and half times and after the game will have
a one on one. These reports will form the basis for referee accreditation.

Referee Evaluators Course:
This course is designed for people to be able to become Referee Evaluators. These
evaluators can then evaluate referees in your Associations. It will be again be run by John
Martin FIBA Educator and Evaluator (Australia). As part of the course the participants will
do some evaluations during the tournament.

All three roles include Accommodation, Meals and Transport whilst at the tournament with
the referees at the Aquinas Marae. There will be no cash alternative.
