Pennant Hills early premiership aspirations have been dealt a blow with the news that reigning Phelan Medallist, Alex Goodall has signed with Albury in the Ovens & Murray League.
The story was reported in the Border Mail with the left-footer joining the same club Lloyd Shepherd played with before he returned to the Demons.
Goodall has notched over 100 senior games for Pennant Hills and been a member of the AFL Sydney Team of the Year in 2007, 2008, 2012, 2013 and 2014. He was named Pennant Hills Best and Fairest in 2012 and was a runaway winner again this year.
2014 was Goodall's finest year as he claimed the prestigious Phelan Medal as well as AFL Sydney Representative selection where he was also awarded the Howarth Trophy as the leagues Representative Player of the Year following his performance against AFL Canberra.
Goodall was looking for a change and to test himself further and leaves with the full blessing of the Demons and as one of the most popular players in the league, all of AFL Sydney will follow his move with interest.
