Northern Fury today confirmed Wingate Properties will serve as the club’s back-of-shirt sponsor for the next two PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland seasons.

The announcement sees the company extend its association with Fury after the serving as naming rights partner for the inaugural Wingate Properties Townsville Football Cup in late August.

"This is a fabulous boost for Northern Fury and also for the North Queensland community," said Rabieh Krayem, Chairman of Northern Fury.

"We're a growing club, and support from a leading development company like Wingate Properties shows that there is confidence in our future as well as in the North Queensland region."

Wingate Properties General Manager, Chris Hall, said his company was keen to boost their involvement with local football after seeing the community support for the recent Wingate Properties Townsville Football Cup.

"It was a week-long festival of football that was enjoyed by thousands in the community, and we were very proud to play a part in bringing three A-League teams to Townsville for a pre-season tournament,” Hall said.

"As a result of the tournament, Northern Fury player Braedyn Crowley has been signed by one of the A-League teams that took part.”

"This really shows that, as a sport, football offers young people fantastic development pathways and career opportunities locally, nationally and internationally," he added.

In addition to the back-of-shirt sponsorship, the popular Wingate Properties Wall will feature at all home games of Northern Fury’s PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland team in 2015.

A half-time competition, the Wingate Properties Wall involves competitors taking a penalty kick and attempting to get the ball in one of three strategically-placed holes in the wall.

“It was something we began at the Wingate Properties Townsville Football Cup and it was very popular with kids – not to mention some of their parents,” said Mr Hall.

“Our business aims to develop vibrant and connected communities for local families, so we focus our sponsorships on contributing to the local community and activities enjoyed by families.

“Just as Northern Fury is investing in the future of young people who enjoy football, Wingate Properties is proud to be investing in the future of Northern Fury and the North Queensland community.”

Wingate Properties is an experienced development company based in Brisbane, currently delivering major development projects in Townsville and Ipswich.

This is the second major sponsorship announced by Fury this month.
