It is a long season for our players, many of whom started training in November 2013 and to make the Grand Final in consecutive years is a credit to the all players and our exceptional Premier Division Coaching Staff of Chris Yard and Andrew McLellen supported by our team Manager Chris Thomas.
2014 has been an exceptional year for the club, our 11th straight year in Premier Division Finals and a year in which both Division 1 and Division 3 also played finals. Our ability to promote our young players through the ranks places the club in strong position in future years with nearly 40 players representing our under 19 team.
Congratulations and thankyou to all of the coaches in Jason Clarke, David Pinker, Jarrod Myers and their team Managers of Wayne Keating, Michael Trenamen and Simon Breen.
The growth and strength of our club will see us field an additional lower Division team – all new players enquiries are welcome.
The ability for our club to provide qualified Physiotherapy staff at every game for every grade could not be achieved without the support of Lauren Cain – thank you. And to all of our of our Sponsors, Members, supporters and friends thank you – you and the players are what makes our club so special.
Tonight we head back to Cherrybrook Community Centre at Mike Kenny Oval at around 7.00pm - 7.30pm for a Spit Roast, some drinks and some great Penno Community friendship. All supporters and friends of the club are encouraged to attend with entry and a Spit Roast meal only $10.
Finally to our Premier Division players – Win or Lose you have our support and admiration as a group of not only talented players but outstanding young men. You represent our nearly 50 years of club history admirably, but today is your chance to make history.
To both teams, Penno and Manly, let’s have a great game put on a spectacle of Australian Football in Sydney.
