Lions V Roos
The reigning premiers are back and the Roos are the only premiership side that have a shot at back to back flags.
However, in their way is the mighty Highfields Lions. Dropping just one game for the season, the minor premiers have been roaring all season long. The Lions come in as favourites with a well-balanced offensive and defensive structure.
The Roos have been going about their business quietly and flown under the radar somewhat but they won’t be going quietly in today’s big game.

KEY MATCH UPS
Jacob Sheath V Kale Ross: Two of the most consistent players for their respective sides, both set up a lot of rebounding attacks and are two of the very best by foot in the McDonald’s Cup. Sheath (Lions) is a very good overhead mark, while Ross (Roos) is exceptional at ground level.
Thomas Clark V James Sprason: The McDonald’s Cup top 2 goal-kickers, kicked over 140 goals between them so far and their input will be important. Both average over 5-goals per game and kick team lifting goals and love the big stage.
Josh Adams V Luke Perrin: Two inside, in and under midfielders will need to have an impact early to give their side the early advantage. Adams has the slight advantage after playing senior footy this year, however Perrin has exceptional pace over 5-10m. Early impact by these two players will be important in this match up.
THE FINAL SAY
Tough one to call and we may just see extra time for the first in a final since the epic 2007 Grand-Final between Souths and Easts. If it does go to over-time keep an eye on clutch moment star James Sprason.
