"Winners quit when they win"
Years of hard-work, is the motivation behind the Redback's according to Coach Jason Wright when DarlingDowns.AFLQ.com.au spoke to the Reddies stalwart.
When asked what the Grand-Final and ultimately winning the premiership meant to the club, hard-work and the ability to lift the profile in the Southern Downs town.
"The culmination of 20 years hard work for the Warwick Redback’s.
"This is the chance to be the first Division 1 premiership side for the club and break a 26 year A grade premiership drought for any sport for Warwick as a town," Coach Wright said.
It may just be the year of the Redback’s, with the club collecting its first AFL Darling Downs minor premiership in existence. However, Coach Wright said training and pre-game will be as per routine.
"Grand Final preparations are the same as any other week.
"The team has been successful on the paddock with the routines and structures that have been employed so far this season.
"The Grand Final is just another game albeit a major one," Wright said ahead of the clubs 4th ever Division 1 Grand-Final appearance.
Warwick won't deploy any direct tactics for one particular player, as the Cougars have numerous stars with a lot of experience.
"University are a good side with a number of quality players.
"We don't underestimate them as a team and believe their entire 22 need close attention."
Rain, hail or shine, the Redback's said they will pick the side that will get the job done regardless of the conditions. However, Coach Wright said that his troops will be playing with one key message in the 2014 decider.
"Losers quit when they are tired, winners quit when they win."
