After several top 5 finishes and runner up in 2011, Goondiwindi star Jeremy Leahy has finally been crowned officially the fairest and best player.
Leahy claimed the 2014 AFL Darling Downs Holman Medal, in a tight contest with two fellow Hawks and a Bomber. The Hawks captain claimed 8 votes in the opening 9 rounds, as Warwick recruit Adam Stevenson led early with 13 votes when the first leader board was revealed.
Leahy stormed to the lead in the second half of the season, scoring 12 votes in total to stay 1 vote clear of joint runners-up Brenton Jardine (Goondiwindi) and Jeff Neumann (South Toowoomba)
