The 2014 AFL Darling Downs Division 2 men's best and fairest is a tie. Joint winners were declared for the 2014 Marj Shaw Medal with South Burnett co-captain Adam Bowater and Dalby Swan Mike Gaur sharing the highest individual accolade available to the competition.
Half-way leader Cameron Percival from Chinchilla was the run away leader with 16-votes after 9 rounds of the season.
However, Percival tragically broke his ankle in Round 10 and finished the count on 16 votes and in an impressive 4th position, only behind eventual winners Gaur and Bowater by 3 votes.
With 118 games and 172 goals, over a career stretching 18years Bowater was the more experienced statistically, however Gaur in just his fourth season and 49 games, proved that no matter how long you have played the game you can be valuable.
