Dalby Swans star Riley Easton has been awarded the 2014 Under 16 Jack Barry Medal, after a fantastic McDonald's Cup season.
Swans midfielder Easton was declared the winner, but only just with Roos classy forward James Sprason falling just 1 vote shy of claiming the JB Medal as well. It was a tight vote count all night, with players from 7 different clubs represented in the final top 10.
It was Easton's night, as he also collected the Under 16 Representative Player of the Year, after a fantastic State Championships for Brisbane South back in June.
Easton has played 106 career games, which includes 10 games in the Darling Downs Crows program and 96 with his beloved Dalby Swans. He has also kicked 61 career goals since 2010, with the half-back flanker come midfielder, rarely sighted inside forward 50.
Riley didn't look a chance after the first half of the season, with limited matches Easton only collect 6 votes in the first 9 rounds of the season.
