Northern Fury players Braedyn Crowley and Kevin Fraser were rewarded for their stellar seasons at Fury’s end-of-season presentation night on Saturday.

Crowley, 17, was selected by Director of Coaching Ian Ferguson as the Coach's Player of the Year while 23-year-old Fraser was named Players' Player of the Year.

Crowley was Fury’s top NPL Queensland goal scorer with 17 goals in 24 appearances, while Fraser also netted four goals for the Townsville-based club.

Ferguson praised the contributions of both players across a season that saw finish in eleventh place in the standings

"They've both had very good seasons. They've been consistent, they're always giving 100% and they do everything that is asked of them and more."

Crowley’s performances also brought him to the attention of Hyundai A-League club Newcastle Jets during the recent Townsville Football Cup.

"Braedyn was not far off a goal every game which is a good record for anyone but especially for someone who has not yet turned 18 years old, and who is mostly playing against older and larger defenders," Ferguson said.

Fraser, who was born in Scotland and is an Australian citizen, was acknowledged as Players’ Player – an award voted by teammates.

"Kevin is a determined and intelligent player who's always willing to get in there and have a go and has been instrumental for us in setting up so many of our attacking options as well as scoring four goals himself," Ferguson said.

"This award shows that he is also valued by his teammates and is just reward for a good season."
