It's not the first time this year the Highfields Lions have been down at halftime and come back and won.
However they saved their best performance of the season for their most important game.
Down by 4-goals at quarter time and 2-goals at half-time, Highfields skipper Jason Long has inspired his Lions to an all-important 12.12 (84) - 11.9 (75) victory over Dalby in the Division 2 Elimination Final.
The opening 20-minutes was owned by the Swannies as young-guns Lachlan Thomas (3), Riley Easton and Justin Hirning all registered goals and tore the Lions apart. Highfields did one major against the flow with forward Robert Baker kicking his first of the afternoon.
Highfields came out after the first break all guns blazing booting three goals in succession with the first just 60-seconds into the second term.
Baker again kicked a goal with Hugh Stone and Jake Carroll chipping with a goal each. However, Swans midfielder Riley Easton kicked truly at the 17m 30s mark to give the Swans a 13-point lead at the long break.
Five individual clearances to Highfields captain Jason Long inspired the Lions in the premiership quarter as the Lions quickly piled on two majors to level scores at 43-a-piece.
A settling goal mid-term to the Swans wasn't enough as Lions ruck Lachlan Porter nailed a long range sausage and Robert Baker kicked his second of the term. Highfields led by 1-point at the final change and could have been more if it wasn't for Dalby forward Ben Banks slotting a late third term major.
The fourth quarter was an intense arm wrestle, with Highfields skipping out to an 8-point lead through Carl Stevenson.
However, the Swans were quick to pounce with consecutive goals to Ben Banks again and Lachlan Ferguson, to regain the lead. Though Lions forwards Baker and Josh Brunner made sure it was a short lived lead with the Highfields duo kicking back to back goals within 90seconds.
Swans Captain Brendon Peltz tried single handily get his side back into the contest through some very inspiring gut running and an inspiration 55 metre long range bomb to get within 2-points with only 4minutes left on the clock.
The last few minutes were frantic as both sides jostled for possession but it was the Lions who were able to string together numerous clean possessions and young forward Jake Carroll clunked an impressive contested mark.
Carroll went back and slotted truly, sealing the Highfields victory in front of the couple of hundred strong Heritage Oval crowd.

Highfields now face the University Cougars this Sunday at Rockville Oval in the Preliminary Final, with the winner to progress to the Grand-Final to face the South Burnett Saints.
