Coolaroo have kept their premiership dreams alive in their maiden season after defeating the Goondiwindi Hawks by 75-points at Gold Park on Saturday evening.
Full-forward Jessica Langton kicked four for the Roos in a dominate display up forward.
Unfortunately the Hawks were outclassed by a hard running and skilful Coolaroo outfit. It was always going to be an uphill battle for Goondiwindi with a few players unavailable for the Elimination Final. However, Goondiwindi are buoyant after appearing in the 2014 finals series in only their first year in the AFL Darling Downs women's competition.
Goondiwindi's Bethany McLaughlin was a star for the defeated Hawks and showed her class through the midfield. Defender Gab Ayre was also fantastic across half-back at different stages for the Hawks.
Langton along with Jade Hose, Tarina Oates and Madigan Paine were fantastic for the navy Roos and are looking at the top of their games at the right end of the season.
However, it was Mariah Pasfield who was the most damaging player for the Roos with the midfielder involved in numerous score involvements and creating a lot of drive from back of centre. Pasfield will be a key in the Roos next match up against Dalby on Sunday.
