SOUTH Toowoomba Australian Rules Football Club has helped to support Starlight Children’s Foundation brighten the lives of sick children.
Souths held a Starlight fundraising day at Heritage Oval on Saturday, June 14 and raised $3,000.
Starlight representative Chloe Davies visited Heritage Oval last week to receive the donation and was thrilled with the support of South Toowoomba.
"It is just really amazing. We're a non-government organisation and the donation the Bombers are making is generous,” she said.
"It will go towards our Starlight Express room and Captain Starlight, Make-A-Wish. All of our programs really.”
Jay Anderson was the driving force behind the fundraising day for South Toowoomba and said the club was keen to build on the relationship between the Bombers and Starlight, a charity which brightens the lives of seriously ill or hospitalised children and their families.
"It is our first year and we look forward to continuing on and we are very proud to be involved with Starlight Children's Foundation,” he said.
