NAB AFL Auskickers' from across the Darling Downs, had the rare opportunity to play at half-time on the hallow turf of the Brisbane Cricket Ground.
Boys and girls from Toowoomba AFC, Highfields AFC, Lockyer Valley AFC, Chinchilla AFC and Miles State School took centre stage on the GABBA during the half-time break of the Brisbane Lions and Fremantle Dockers Toyota AFL premiership match.
From kicking barrells, handballing to team mates and soaking up the electrifying atmosphere, the NAB AFL Auskickers' had nothing but smiles when they left the field.
Development Coordinator Jeff Neumann said," One of the highlights for many NAB AFL Auskick participants is the opportunity to participate in the half time grid games at an AFL match.
"This program was first introduced as 'Little League' in 1967, the program in 2014 has provided over 23,000 children and junior umpires with the opportunity to participate in NAB AFL Auskick half time grid games across the country and experience our great game on the grounds their heroes play at during each week of the AFL season."
