The entire division 2 competition will get an early look at a possible result of the elimination final next weekend, as Dalby and Highfields face each other in the round 19 division 2 match of the round.
Both sides are destined to play each other next week, no matter the result of this encounter.
The winner of this game will no doubt gain the all-important physiological edge over the other. Both sides have numerous match winners across the paddock and if both coaching staffs can avoid resting players, the result should give a good indicator of the result of the final.
Swans Captain Brendan Peltz has been in terrific form and led from the front in 2014.
Peltz along with Mike Gaur and Tim Walker have played important roles behind the Swans 5-game winning streak. The Lions on the other hand have only lost one match in their last five but however do rely heavily on the out-put of Jason Long and Cameron Harding.
However, the consistent trio of Chris Grundon, David Herridge and Mitch Hennessy has played in important role in the Lions 8 - 6 season so far.
Dalby's form is hard to go by in this fixture, with the Swans streak including their inspiring defeat of the then top of the table Saints. Both teams will be about for bragging rights going into finals but the Swans have the upper hand with this fixture set to be played at Owen Street in Dalby.
In the weekends other Division 2 game, reigning premiers will step out one last time for the year up against the South Burnett Saints on Sunday at Gold Park. The result won't have any bearing on the finals at all but the Saints would like to take momentum into their maiden finals campaign.
