Kings of the castle, Euroa and Benalla, clash in what could easily be a preview to this season’s Under 18’s grand final at Euroa today. The Magpies, in second place on the ladder, suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of fifth placed Seymour last Saturday and will need to lift their game by at least 150 percent if they are to get over the Saints today. Pies coach, Gavin WILLIAMS will be doing home work this week trying to work out what happened last Saturday and how they can do a complete 360 turn around against the Saints who are doing everything right.
The Lions are again at home and Mansfield will face another torrid morning trying to get the points at Kings Park. If the boys from Assumption College are all available again for the Lions, the Eagles are in real trouble. The Cats fell away badly against Shepparton on Saturday, without taking anything away from the Bears, who will pick up another four points against arch rival Shepparton United at Deakin Reserve, Shepparton, this morning.
The Swans were well and truly back in town against United on Saturday and their confidence should be sky high against the Cats.
Echuca will consolidate their position in the six with a big win against bottom side Tatura who are blooding a lot of youngsters and likewise Kyabram will have a big win against Rochester.
