AFL Queensland Darling Downs are happy to announce the inaugural coaching staff for the regions Under 17 youth girls representative side.
Coach: Jeff Neumann
Assistant Coach: Jay Anderson
Assistant Coach: Sophie Smith
Manager: Tania van den Acker
Conditioning Coach: Isabelle Baldock
Regional Manager Keith Webb said he was pleased with the staff that has come together, with a wealth of experience and knowledge within the female football sector and coaching in general.
"I am very pleased with the coaching staff we have been able to appoint to the youth girls side.
"Jeff's appointment brings an elite coach into our regional system and linking in two community club coaches in the assistant roles gives our selected players an experienced coaching line up.
"We have also brought in one of our longest serving school ambassadors in Tania van den Acker and a past player in Isabelle Baldock, with both brining in their own unique skill sets," Webb said on the youth girls coaching staff.
The final squad will be selected later today and Coach Neumann said it has been a tough task.
"With sixty plus players trialling for the side, it has been one difficult task to select the final team of 23 players.
"However, we believe we have a good mix of players with experience, youth, skill, giving us a fantastic balance.
"We will have a few disappointed players who will miss out but what the trials have done, is send a message that structured youth girls competitions will be here sooner then we planned," Coach Neumann told darlingdowns.aflq.com.au
