Game 1 - 9am
Women's Division Two Elimination Final - UTS Shamrocks v Auburn GIANTS
The first final for the year pits first time finalists the Auburn GIANTS up against UTS Shamrocks who had finals experience in 2013.
The sides have met only once this season where it was a comfortable 27 point victory to the Shamrocks. It was soon after this match that the GIANTS really turned their season around and in expected wet conditions this could be a very close match.
Lael Kassem has been brilliant this year and her run and carry will be vital to the sides chances. The Shamrocks boast a number of key players, none more impressive than midfielder Lara Hilmi who was a revelation in the representative program. Her contested footy will be important in determining the outcome of this match.
Auburn come into the match fresh off a big loss to flag favourites Southern Power while UTS Shamrocks were last start winners against an impressive Manly-Warringah.
AFL Sydney Prediction - UTS Shamrocks by 8 points
Game 2 - 11:10am
Women's Division Two Qualifying Final - Wollongong Saints v Penrith Ramettes
Both sides come into this match on the back of victories last weekend and will be playing for the opportunity to take on Southern Power in a Grand Final qualifier the following week.
Wollongong will go into the match as warm favourites having already accounted for the Ramettes twice this season. The first was a dominant 58 point win however their most recent clash at Greygums Oval was just under a 5 goal win however the Ramettes failed to kick straight on that occasion.
It's a strong forward line in particular for the Saints which included Jessie Mulholland who last week kicked 6 goals.
Penrith will rely heavily on Nikki Perrett and Nat Camilleri in the middle of the ground to keep them in the game.
AFL Sydney Prediction - Wollongong Saints by 22 points
Game 3 - 1:20pm
Men's Division Five Elimination Final - Blacktown Magic v Sydney University
On what by this time of the day will likely be a boggy track, Blacktown Magic will go in as strong favourites against perrenial Division Five finalists Sydney University. The Magic finished fourth by less than 1% and would have preferred to be in the Qualifying Final rather than the dangerous Elimination Final against Sydney University.
Their only previous encounter was just 5 weeks ago when the Magic travelled to St Pauls Oval and handed the Students a 75 point thrashing.
The Students will have to turn things around significantly from that clash and such is the clubs depth that this isnt impossible however Blacktown will most likely have a few too many match winners amongst their side. Wetter conditions will most likely favour the Students and ensure they can stay in touch for longer periods compared to if on a dry track.
AFL Sydney Prediction - Blacktown Magic by 34 points
Game 4 - 3:30pm
Men's Division Five Qualifying Final - Camden Cats v Penrith Rams
Camden Cats were able to claim 2nd position thanks to a superior percentage and will fancy their chances to go all the way this year. After finishing minor premiers last season, injuries cruelled their finals campaign to bow out in straight sets so the Cats will be looking to ensure no repeat of this occurs. Ben Laid is very important for the Cats while Ben Wright kicked 5 goals last weekend and is one to keep an eye on.
Penrith will be no walkover however after a great 2014 season. They have some exceptional firepower up forward including Kevin Kirk who is fresh off a 9 goal haul last week along with Tayt Corless who is very influential which the Cats will need to guard to be any hope.
In the two match-ups earlier this season, the spoils were shared. In Round 7 at Greygums Oval, the Rams scraped home with a 2 goal win however the return match at Camden's home ground saw the Cats record a dominant 66 point win which will give them plenty of confidence.
It may not be the prettiest of tussels if the heavens open as expected but their will be plenty of willing bodies on hand to try and claim the right to take on minor premiers Nor-West Jets the followong week for a direct passage to the Grand Final.
AFL Sydney Predicition - Camden Cats by 16 points
