The last secondary schools title is up for grabs on Friday night as St Saviour's College and St Joseph's College will go head to head in the open secondary girls Grand-Final.
Both schools are based in Toowoomba and will not only battle it out for the last piece of silverware but will be looking to boast the title as the number one female Aussie Rules school in the region. St Saviour's will boast the likes of Under 18 All-Australian Shaleise Law, along with Grace Krautz and Tanika Tarpencha.
However, St Joseph's will start as favourites with AFL Darling Downs women's players in Shonnie Skehan (Coolaroo), Carrie Daley (Coolaroo) and Savannah Ranford (South Toowoomba) just some of the local products on display.
It will be the first sanctioned AFL Queensland school-football game played under lights in the region, with local club Toowoomba AFC hosting the big game.
The winner of this game will progress down to Brisbane and play against the South Brisbane and Gold Coast school winners in the State Semi-Finals on Thursday 28th August. With the regions number one ranking up for grabs, this game is sure to draw a strong crowd.
