BHP Educational Grants Round 2 Now Open

We are pleased to announce that the second round of BHP Billiton Education Grants is now open for applications.
Affiliated Leagues and clubs are able to make applications to the Community Football Board for reimbursement grants from the BHP Billiton Education Fund.
There are two categories under which leagues/clubs can apply for funding .
CATEGORY A.
SPORTS TRAINERS
SA Community Football Leagues and Clubs may apply for a reimbursement grant for the costs of Sports Trainers Courses (Level 1 and 2). Travel costs will also be considered for participants who are required to travel by car a total distance of more than 150 km to attend a course and may claim travel costs at the rate of 50 cents/km for every kilometre over 150km. Costs for Sports Trainers Seminars may also be claimed.
In order to receive any reimbursement the trainer must successfully complete the course.
COACHING
SA Community Football Leagues and Clubs may apply for a reimbursement grant for the costs of Level 1 and Level 2 Coaching Courses. Travel costs will also be considered for participants who are required to travel by car a total distance of more than 150 km to attend a course, and may claim travel costs at the rate of 50 cents/km for every kilometre over 150km. Coach reaccreditation costs are also eligible to be claimed, as well as attending any other coaching forums or seminars.
In order to receive any reimbursement the coach must successfully complete the course.
UMPIRING
SA Community Football Leagues and Umpiring Panels may apply for a reimbursement grant for the costs of Level 1 and Level 2 Umpiring Courses, plus other seminars offered to umpires. Leagues/Panels may also apply for the cost of resources for Community Umpiring Panels delivering education programs to umpires.
In order to receive any reimbursement the umpire must successfully complete the course..
CATEGORY B.
Affiliated Leagues and Clubs may also apply for a reimbursement grant for the following:
ADMINISTRATION COURSES
SA Community Football Leagues/Clubs may apply for a reimbursement grant for attending Courses, Zone Meetings and Football Education Sessions (ie Footyweb, President’s Forums and O/R/S Courses etc). In addition the costs incurred for the delivery of other training sessions to players, official’s and administrators may also be claimed ( ie Footweb , Responsible Service of Alcohol and Strategic Planning etc). Travel costs may be claimed at the rate of 50cents/km for every kilometre travelled over 150kms.
All 2014 Round 2 applications must be submitted by post or email no later than Friday 29th August 2014.
