With four weeks left in the regular season. there's still plenty up for grabs in Division 2 AFL Darling Downs competition.
We had a look at each club's draw heading into the business end of the season and predicted where they will finish come the end of the regular season.
South Burnett Saints - 1st | 46pts
Dalby (A), Bye, Coolaroo (A)
With Dalby and Coolaroo both away comes for the northern based club, seasons gone by this would be a tough fixture. However the Saints are up and about and marching towards a maiden finals campaign. Victories in both of these games are likely and they will take confidence and the minor premiership into the final series.
Prediction: W, Bye, W
University Cougars - 2nd | 44pts
Highfields (H), Bye, Bye
With two byes in the last three rounds, it definitely isn't an ideal preparation heading into finals but with their last game of the regular season against Highfields at home, we see the Cougars taking a win and momentum into their finals campaign.
Prediction: W, Bye, Bye
Highfields Lions - 3rd | 28pts
University (A), Chinchilla (H), Dalby (A)
Tough draw in the lead up to the finals but the Lions will be happy with what lays ahead. We've predicted they will win two of their last three, as their division 1 side is out of finals contention and their focus will turn to the division 2 title.
Prediction: L, W, W
Dalby Swans - 4th | 24pts
South Burnett (H), South Toowoomba (H), Highfields (H)
Another side with a tough draw in the run to finals with some important games. They should run out victors in round 18 against the Bombers, however the Saints will be a task this weekend and final game of the regular season against the Lions will be tough. But to the Swans advantage is that all three games are at home.
Prediction: L, W, L
Chinchilla SUNS - 5th | 24pts
South Toowoomba (H), Highfields (A), Bye
If the SUNS are to play finals then they will need to win their next two games to secure a debut finals appearance. With the Bombers this weekend they should get up but Highfields will be a tougher task at the Lions den. If the SUNS can get the right troops to rise to the occasion, then they may cause a few headaches come finals.
Prediction: W, L, Bye
South Toowoomba Bombers - 6th | 22pts
Chinchilla (A), Dalby (A), Bye
It is a tough draw for the injury ravaged club and with their division 1 side suffering numerous injuries, their division 2 playing depth will be tested. If they can get through the next two weeks against the western clubs, they can then look at a rebuild for 2015. Finals very unlikely for the red and black but they are known for their last minute bursts.
Predictions: L, L, Bye
Coolaroo - 7th | 16pts
Warwick (A), Bye, South Burnett (H)
If predictions are right, the reigning premiers will get their final win of the year this weekend in Warwick. It has been a tough year for the Roo's two's who haven't been able to reach the heights of 2015 but they will no doubt push the Saints all the way in round 19 in their last outing.
Predictions: W, Bye, L
Warwick Redback's - 8th | 4pts
Coolaroo (H), Bye, Bye
It is also the Reddies last outing of the season with two bye's to finish off the regular season. With the club's division 1 side flying on top of the table this will play an important role in fine tuning some of the players on the fringes and players returning for injury. It won't be an easy game for the Roo's this weekend as the red and blue will come out blazing.
Predictions: L, Bye, Bye
