The AFL Sydney Round 15 Rising Star nominee Joshua Smith of Sydney University.
Smith is in his first year for the Students and has impressed everyone at the club playing in all 15 games for Premier Division this year.
Smith is a hard running backmen who likes to rebound from the 50 and get the ball moving up the field. In Rounds 3 & 4 he was selected in the AFL Sydney Team of the Week.
Smith played his Under 18 football with St Ignatius, Riverview, being apart of the 2011 Under 18 premiership team. Josh then played his first year of senior footy with North Shore playing 13 games in Division One and one game in Premier Division.
Sydney Uni are keen to continue Smith’s development so that he can keep pushing for selection in the NEAFL team and performing well on the field.
