Registrations for the Summer 2014-15 domestic (Saturday) season are now closed. There may be some places available in some age groups. Please contact Megan Rouse at manager@collingwoodbasketball.com.au for further information.

Collingwood Basketball Association will have girls and boys teams playing in the Eastern Districts Junior Basketball Association Summer 2014-15 season. The season begins on Saturday 11th October.

Registrations are due by 17th August. Players who do not register by this date may not be placed in a team. A late fee of $20 per player is payable after 17th August if a place is available.

The season dates are:

• 11th Oct - 13th Dec (no game 1st Nov)
• 31st Jan - 21st Feb
• Finals 28th Feb, 14th & 21st March

Age groups for the Summer season are:

• U8 – players born after 30th June 2006
• U10 – players born between 1st July 2004 and 30th June 2006
• U12 – players born between 1st July 2002 and 30th June 2004
• U14 – players born between 1st July 2000 and 30th June 2002
• U16 – players born between 1st July 1998 and 30th June 2000
• U18 – players born between 1st July 1996 and 30th June 1998
• U20 – players born between 1st July 1994 and 30th June 1996

Registration fees per family are:

• Registered and paid by 17th August: 1 player $125, 2 players $230, 3 players $335. Discount of $10 per player if registered online (preferred).
• Registered or paid AFTER 17th August (if places available): 1 player $145, 2 players $270, 3 players $395. Discount of $10 per player if registered online (preferred).

Playing fee is $7 per week.

Domestic shorts are $40 and singlets are $50.

Girls training is usually on Monday nights and boys training is usually on Thursday nights.

Registration Process for Summer 2015 Domestic Teams - Online Preferred

Registrations are preferred online and must be received by 17th August to ensure placement in a team. A discount of $10 per player applies to online registrations. Payments can be made via Visa or Mastercard. See further information below.

Registrations can also be made:

• At the Registration Day on Saturday 9th August at Collingwood College stadium (McCutcheon Way, Collingwood) 10.30 am – 3.00 pm
• By mail or fax until 17th August
• At the canteen at Collingwood stadium until 16th August

Registration details must be filled in and payment made to complete registration. The registration form is attached (though online registration is preferred).

Things to note when registering:

• The club considers completion of the registration to be a commitment to playing, so as a courtesy to others, please don’t register players if they are not sure about their ability to commit to playing. Generally we do not provide refunds except in exceptional circumstances. The club’s refund policy is here
• In the section regarding team placement, if a player wants to play with friends, please list UP TO THREE friends by name. DO NOT say “with current team” – we will interpret that as meaning that the player wants to stay with a member of the current team and doesn’t care who. If this is not the case, tell us who they would PREFER to be with
• If a player will be unavailable for part of a season (for example due to camps, family holidays, exchange etc), please ensure that this information is provided in the Playing DATES not available section. This information will be used to try to ensure the team remains viable when that player is away
• If a player is unable to play at certain times of the day (for example due to other sport or activity or work commitments), please ensure that this information, including the reason, is provided in the Playing TIMES not available section. Please be specific, eg "not available until 1pm, language school till 12.30pm". Note that 11.50 is considered a PM game so if a player is unavailable till noon or 12.30 please tell us. This information will be used to try to place the player in a team which can play at appropriate times, however we cannot always guarantee that games will always be fixtured at a suitable time. We are also not always able to change a team time request if an individual’s availability changes so please provide as much information as possible in the registration

Online Registration

Here's what you need to know about online registration

• First choose the number of players you wish to register
• If the first player has been registered online before (for any of our programs), choose "I would like to request my username and password", and then choose "I have registered previously and I know my username and password". You will only need to change details relevant to this season and then pay
• If the player hasn’t been registered online previously choose "I am registering for the first time"
• It is possible to enter details for multiple family members and make one payment at the end. Some contact details are transferred from the first player to the second.
  • Choose the number of players you wish to register
  • Complete the details for the first player and choose the $115 registration fee
  • If the second player has previously registered online, choose "I would like to request my username and password" and then "I have registered previously and I know my username and password", otherwise choose "I am registering for the first time". Some contact details will be transferred automatically to the second player - please check that all details are correct
  • For additional players, choose the $95 registration fee
• Each player has a separate username and password Do NOT use the same username and password for a second player - you will not be able to change the name and date of birth
• You must pay by VISA or MasterCard. The bank processing fee for online registration will be added to the registration fee

New players who have played with another EDJBA club must be cleared by their previous club. To organise this please contact Megan Rouse at manager@collingwoodbasketball.com.au. before the first game of the season (11th October).
