South Burnett has extended their winning margin to nine straight victories, as they easily accounted for Chinchilla at Lyle Vidler by 207 points on Saturday afternoon.
The understrength SUNS were no match for the Kingaroy based Saints, as the South Burnett forward duo of Adam Bowater and Brad Edwards kicked 21-goals between them, as the top of the table Saints recorded a 33.28 (226) to 3.1 (19) victory.
In the just the fourth instalment of the Trevor Green Expansion Cup, Saints again had the perpetual engraved with South Burnett AFC.
Missing the likes of Kristian Muir, Cameron Percival and Jye Hartwig, the SUNS were never able to rise to the occasion as Jay Paget and Jaedon Zoeller did their best for the depleted Chinchilla outfit.
In the weekend's other division 2 fixture, Dalby have soared to an impressive 13.20 (98) to 8.6 (54) victory over Warwick at Reddies Oval.
It was the game that hailed the return of Division 1 player Kurt Millard from injury with the 2013 Holman Medallist one of the Redback's best in the loss. For the Swannies, star young-guns Ben Buckley and Brandon Peltz led the way, as Dalby move into the Division 2 top 4 with losses to Chinchilla and South Toowoomba.
With the first placed Saints, then Bombers and Lions to finish the season, the Swans have their fate in their own hands.
