The score-line could of been much more but a horrific injury to young star Ryan Grady early in the third term saw play stopped for all but 2minutes of the premiership quarter. It has been reported Grady has had surgery early Monday morning and AFL Darling Downs wish him the speediest of recoveries.
It was a much improved performance by the Demons, with patches of brilliant team play, showing signs of a promising future. Matthew and Paul Clark along with Sam Hegarty led the way for the Demons, in a tough contest.

Troy Millard was the standout Hawk at Gold Park, doing a mountain of work in the ruck and around the ground. However a five goal second quarter to zero, saw the Hawks on the back-foot but Goondiwindi were able to stem the flow in an inspired third quarter but the damage was already done.
Coolaroo finished 19.13 (127) to 6.8 (44) winners at home to move into second place on the Division 1 ladder.
South Toowoomba created breathing space for themselves on the Allied Pickford’s Cup ladder, as they put away the Highfields Lions with ease at Kratzke Oval.
A slow starting Bombers outfit, only up by 16-points at half-time put all rumours to rest that they just do enough as Daniel Verrall, Ben Newman and Jeff Neumann sliced the Lions apart in the third quarter.
Highfields were only able to manage 2 second half goals, as the Bombers piled on 12 majors with South Toowoomba stretching the final margin out to 79-points.
Clay Jones and Joshua Fowler along with veteran Nathan Rooney were the consistent contributors for the Lions in round 13 – 6.7 (43) to 18.14 (144) loss.
