First started way back in 2005 as a way for current playing members to recognise and thank their own families for their support. It has become much more than that. SUANFC has a proud involvement with a few highly reputable junior football clubs. Newtown Swans, Glebe Greyhounds and Moore Park Tigers all form part of the SUANFC family. Family Day at No. 1 is about bringing people together. It is about celebrating all that we love about football and the community. The day is jam packed full of activities and games for the kids, BBQs and canteen goodies, beverages and the grandstand balcony bliss for mum and dad.
In 2014 Urbanest and Bendigo Bank are throwing their full support behind the day, which has fast become one of Sydney AFL’s largest community AFL events with as many as 600 kids and their families coming to Sydney University in a Festival of Junior Football.
