AFL Sydney Women's Round 9 Rising Star

The Round 9 AFL Sydney Women's Rising Star nominee is Nicci Kennedy from Wollongong Saints.

After playing 6 games for the Saints in 2013, Kennedy has stepped up her game to a new level. She has been voted in the best three times this year with her best game coming in Round 12 where she kicked three goals and was voted best on ground by her coach.

Kennedy was also apart of the AFL Sydney Women’s Representative squad. After not playing in the first game, Kennedy was brought in for game two providing plenty of energy all over the ground and especially inside forward 50. Kennedy has also been apart of the NSW/ACT Youth Girls squad for the past three years and has not looked out of place.

Through hard work, Kennedy could become one of the stars of the competition.
