On Saturday the Moorebank Magpies will be holding their inaugural Family Fun Day at Rosedale Park this Saturday July 5th.
The aim of this day is to recognise the families whose support enables our players, coaches, club officials and volunteers to have an active and enjoyable involvement in Australian Rules Football.
The day is also about giving back to the local community in the South West region of Sydney by raising funds for the Autism Advisory Support Service. The AASS is a local non for profit organisation which is run by parents of autistic children and provides supports for both children and adults affected by autism and their families.
All funds will be raised on the day will be presented to the AASS and collected through a number of means. Children’s show bags will be available for a gold coin donation, various raffles will be run with prizes that have been donated by local business and thru bar and canteen sales on the day. All bar sales will contribute one dollar to each purchase and coffee and tea sales fifty cents.
Police and Fire Brigade will have vehicles and staff at the ground for children to have an interactive experience.
A jumping castle will be located in the practice wicket area of the ground.
Craft and other activities for children will be located in the Leo Sullivan Pavilion.
A Balloon entertainer will be walking thru the crowd to entertain the kids.
NOVA FM will be at the ground for three hours in the morn to help with the promotion of the day.
At 2pm there will be a reptile show in the Leo Sullivan Pavilion which is provided free although a gold coin donation would be greatly appreciated.
Parents are encouraged to join their children for activities on the field at half time of games as per the schedule attached.
The will also be a number of other attractions on the day including stall from local small businesses and a DJ providing music.
At this stage car parking will be on National and Stroud Street with parking inside the ground via the National Street entrance. The main car park will be closed with the emergency services vehicles located inside it.
Rosedale Park is located behind Warwick Farm Racecourse and amongst the stables of some of Sydney’s leading horse trainers. We would appreciated everyone arriving and leaving the venue to drive with extreme caution as we often have horses and there trainers being walked on the roads around the ground during the day.
Moorebank hope that you bring your children to the footy with you and you all enjoy the day.
