The Round 10 AFL Sydney Rising Star nominee is Lachlan Maples from Sydney University.
Lachlan has been rising up the ranks ever since arriving at Sydney University in early 2013. Lachlan starred in the Sydney Uni colts side in 2013 and was given the chance to impress at senior level twice in that year.
2014 has seen Lachlan complete a huge pre season with the senior squad, which is where he currently trains. Lachlan has earned the Prem Div call up by impressing week in week out as captain of the Colts side.
His industrious, hard line attitude to winning the ball is what sets Lachlan apart from his peers. Lachy leads through both words and actions and leaves nothing to chance on the field.
We are sure that if Lachlan continues to work hard and listen to his mentors a NEAFL debut is not far away.
