ASBA was very pleased to take advantage of youth development in 2013 when the department of parks & rec held a summer program for the youth. The Association saw a successful turnout of athletes and development at the conclusion of the clinics.

For 2014, it is more of the same as the basketball association looks to bringing in more kids to develop. This year, they'll be looking at more of a grassroot development in inviting more kids at the U10 level. Of course, the U20 kids are more than welcome to participate to further hone their skills. Tafuna high school will be used once again and ASBA would like to thank DOE for the usage of the gym as their is a lack of proper facilities in American Samoa. ASBA is willing to utilize whatever facility it is available to them.
