South Burnett look set to play finals in 2014 after their hard-fought victory over a dogged South Toowoomba outfit.
Battle of the Souths was an interesting affair as the Saints set the match up with their opening 10-goal half to the Bombers 2-goals. It was an uphill battle to get back into the game but as they continue to do the red and black never gave up.
South Toowoomba out-scored South Burnett in the second half but the damage was already done and the red, black and white ran out 16.8 (104) to 10.10 (70) victors.
Chinchilla weren't able to shine in their historic twilight game at the Chinchilla Sports Ground as the University Cougars made it 7 in-a-row to continue in top spot on the AFLDD Division 2 ladder.
It was a high intensity encounter, that was set up on a 8-goal third quarter by the visitors. USQ went on to win the match 20.16 (136) to 7.6 (48).
Dalby spoiled the Roo's old boy day celebrations as the men from the west upset the reigning premiers by 70-points at Gold Park.
Lachlan Thomas booted 5 goals in the win, as the Swans kept their slim finals chances alive with the 15.12 (102) to 4.8 (32) win.
Highfields won their 4th game of the season and the first time they have gone back to back all year with their impressive 21.19 (145) to 9.7 (61) win over a young Redback's outfit.
Corey Radley and Glynn Kidney were prolific in the victory and keeps the Lions one game shy of the top 4.
