Sunday June 22^nd sees the start of the SA Country Basketball State and Development Programs in the South region of country SA. The Keith Association will host the day.

All Under 13 and 14 basketballers, born 2003 and 2002, from the region have been invited to participate in the Trials for these Programs.

The Boys’ sessions will be conducted from 10 am to 11.30 am and 1pm to 2.30pm. The Girls’ sessions follow at 11.30am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 4pm. Players are to register online by Thursday June 19^th.

One of the aims of the Trials is to provide opportunities for players to test their skills and attitude under the watchful eyes of Player and Coach Development Officers and SA Country coaches. These Programs are structured to teach the skills of basketball which will assist the players to better prepare themselves for possible selection in future SA country Basketball State and Development squads.

The Trials for the Northern region junior players will be held at Port Augusta on June 29^th.

After these regional sessions 50 boys and 50 girls will be invited to attend a Training session in the metropolitan area on August 17^th and a Live-In Camp in Mount Gambier on October 9^th and 10^th. The final team selections will be made at Training sessions in the metropolitan area on November 8^th and 9^th.       

The Under 14 teams will compete in the 2015 Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup in Albury NSW in January while the events for the SA Country Under 13 teams are being finalised.
