Adelaide City Claim 2014 Coca-Cola Federation Cup Final

Adelaide City has claimed the Coca-Cola Federation Cup for a second year in a row, after defeating West Adelaide 4-1in a hard fought encounter at Coopers Stadium.

Adelaide City star Joel Allwright nabbed two in quick succession in the first half sending the black and whites in to the change rooms with confidence.

The second half saw West Adelaide’s Nathan Andijanto net one, however it was too late as Adelaide City recruit Alex Rideout followed in similar fashion to Allwright, putting two away to secure the win.

Allwright was named Man of the Match following his performance for the home side.

In addition to the 2014 Coca-Cola Federation Cup title, Adelaide City has earned their place in the inaugural Westfield FFA Cup competition. The Round of 32 to be played with interstate qualifiers and A-League sides in July to August of this year.

Adelaide Blue Eagles were victors over Adelaide Comets in the Reserve grade with a final score of 1-0, while West Adelaide claimed the Cup over Campbelltown City in the U18’s, 1-0.
