Former Coolaroo and Darling Downs Crow, Sam Copland has been named in the Queensland State Academy under 16 squad after an impressive State Championships recently.
Now playing for Sherwood, Copland was regularly named in the Brisbane South best players throughout the championships and rewarded accordingly in the State squad.
Copland has been a standout junior with club, league and Crows best and fairest accolades along with premierships with Coolaroo.
Sam will commence training straight away as the Queensland side prepares for the National Championships from July 5th to 12th to be held on the Gold Coast.
State Under 16 Academy coach John Rankin is very excited about the quality of the squad and believes it has the necessary mix of players and skills to be very competitive at the 2014 AFL National Under 16 Championships being held on the Gold Coast commencing Saturday July 5 – Saturday July 12.
