Harimau Muda ‘A’ became only the second visiting side to win in Townsville this season when they crushed Northern Fury 4-1 on Wednesday evening.

The Malaysians took a two goal advantage into the break courtesy of Mohamed Ridzuan Abdunloh Pula and own goal from Fury’s Chris Figg.

Second half goals to Saarvindran Devandran and Satish Krishan rounded out the scoring for the visitors, while Braedyn Crowley netted a consolation for Fury.

Harimau Muda started positively and opened accounts inside five minutes courtesy of Abdunloh before a mix-up between Chris Figg and goalkeeper Matthew Symes resulted in the visitor’s second.

As the half drew to a close Fury fought their way back into the contest. The best chance came courtesy of Crowley whose free-kick saved by Mohd Farhan Abu Bakar.

Crowley ultimately pulled a goal back for the hosts just after the hour before Harimau scored twice more to put paid to a Fury fightback.

The result lifts Harimau Muda to sixth in the league standings, leapfrogging Fury, who drop to seventh.

Northern Fury 1 (Braedyn CROWLEY 64’)
Harimau Muda ‘A’ 4 (Mohamed Ridzuan ABDUNLOH PULA 4’, own goal 18’, Satish KRISHNAN 74’, Saarvindran DEVANDRAN 77’)
