Newcomers and current top of the table Coolaroo will host 2013 grand-finalists Lockyer Valley at Rockville Oval in the first of the Blackchrome Cup games.
The Roo girls are coming off an impressive 51-point victory over the Swannies where Tarina Oates and Jade Hose dominated play. Midfielder Oates booted 3 in her performance and no doubt will feature in the Heather Green voting in Round 5.
Lockyer Valley on the other hand are coming into the game after a strong showing against the depleted premiers, going down by 59-points. Tori-Lee Jackson and young gun Monique Gould were the stand-outs and carried the Demons side in the round 5 encounter.
This round 6 matchup between the Roos’ and Dees, should be a close contest and will come down to the already mentioned key players along every player contributing and not leaving it up to the regular stars.
Rising star Monique Gould will play a key role through the midfielder for Lockyer Valley, Gould dominated in the recent representative clash for Darling Downs and her influence will be important in this match up.
For the Roos Jade Hose will play an important role and if she can continue her hard running and superb ruck work, Hose will be a handful for the Demons.
In the second of the two games at Rockville Oval the Dalby Swans have the daunting task of facing the juggernaut that is the South Toowoomba Bombers. The Bombers were outstanding last week against Lockyer Valley and with returning stars in Georgie Seaniger and Belle Baldock, the Swannies will have a lot to consider going into this encounter.
For Dalby they will look to their representative stars in Danielle Wall, Jodie Ingleton, Melissa Phillips, Ally Hollis and Jess Banks to lead the way.
Wall will carry majority of the load, the 2013 joint Heather Green Medallist will be the go to player for the Swannies. Danielle will go head to head for the first time against Seaniger (2013 Heather Green Medallist) and her premiership side.
How Wall copes will facing the old foe will be interesting but it shouldn't worry her as she goes about her usual business.
