St Saviour's College student Shaleise Law has earned All Australian honours after the Under 18 AFL youth girls Nationals in Canberra after a standout carnival for the All-Indigenous Woomera's side.
Shaleise was selected in the forward pocket, after the live-wire small forward/midfielder dominated the youth girls division 2 competition.
Her carnival included a number of highlights but none more so than her match winning goal against Northern Territory/Tasmania side propelled the Woomera's into the Division 2 final. From here Law's unccanny ability to emerge from packs with the footy and her elite foot skills stood out most.
Overall the Shaleise and Woomera's finished the carnival as Division 2 champions, defeating host state NSW/ACT in the final.
Law becomes the first footballer on the Darling Downs to be selected in an All-Australian side with in Australian Football League talent program.
Shaleise's 2014 highlights include:
- Under 18 Queensland Kick-start youth girls team
- Under 18 Indigeneous Woomera's youth girls team
- Under 16 Queensland school-girls team
- Under 16 Darling Downs school-girls team
- Under 18 All Australian Youth Girls side
