The AFL Sydney Round 5 Rising Star nominee is Harry Dobson of Sydney University.
After playing one Premier Division match last year, Dobson transferred over from Illawarra to Sydney University during the off-season and is currently apart of the Swans academy program. Last year, Dobson played in Illawarra’s Under 18 side playing 19 games and being named in the best an astonishing 17 times and also polling 11 votes in the Under 18 Best and Fairest award.
Harry is a hard working midfielder and in his first game for the Students, he was voted their best player in the draw against UTS.
Sydney University have high hopes for Harry to one day be a settled NEAFL player and eventually an AFL footballer. A little way to go yet but he certainly has the tenacity to get there.
