The AFL Sydney Round 4 Rising Star is Callum Mills from North Shore.
Last year Callum was one of the stars of the NSW/ACT Rams’ winning Under-16 Div 2 National Championships. Callum who captained the Rams to their first carnival win since 2002, was awarded the NSW/ACT Most Valuable Player and was also named the Best Player in Division Two. In a stellar year where the AIS squad member also claimed the Carbine Club AFL Scholarship, it was therefore not surprising to see Callum in his 1st senior game for the Bombers Star with a 30+ disposal game, 17 of which came in the last quarter.
Coach Jon Hayres: "I wasn’t surprised to see such a performance from Cal, I’ve known Cal since he was playing under 12’s for Mosman and he has always been a really level headed kid, he trains hard, looks after himself and loves to absorb any football information. What is really striking for me he is strong team orientation in the way he plays footy"
