South West Slammers Round 4 Update - BSW Media
Collie Crane Hire Slammers go down to the Buccs.
After last week’s loss at Lakeside we had another tough road trip to Geraldton. They came out hitting on all cylinders offensively. With four minutes left in the 2nd quarter the Buccs had only missed 3 field goal attempts. Carter Cook was outstanding the entire game and we struggled to stop Bennie Lewis early. The Geraldton squad looks like a serious contender this season. We won almost all statistical categories except field goal percentage. We also had 20 turnovers and needed to get to the free throw line more often. It was a welcome return for Jason Smith who suited up for his first game for the slammers in over 2 years.

Next week we have our third of four road games in a row against the Rockingham Flames. It's a tough stretch in the schedule for us as the Flames are in form. Key matchups will be between Cooper Land and Todd Hendley. Both players are putting up big numbers respectively. If you get a chance, come out to Rockingham for what is sure to be an exciting high scoring game.
