Downland's College English teacher and passionate Brisbane Lions supporter Dan Fraser is leading the 2014 AFLQ Darling Downs Secondary School Ambassador of the year competition.
Fraser has accumulated 550 points in total after Term 1 figures were finalised.
For the School Ambassador program so far, Dan Fraser has ticked off on 7 key programs including entering a school team into the Wednesday night AFL 9's Corporate Competition, attended the AFL Darling Downs season launch, along with numerous intra and inter-school programs.
Dan will have to keep a close eye on Fairholme College Ambassador Nick Byron who is only 200points behind with the new ambassador ramping Australian Rules in the girls only school.
Each year AFL Queensland recognise the outstanding service and work with AFL in schools through the School Ambassador of the year program. With a national winner for primary and secondary categories selected and with winners receiving a trip for two to Melbourne to the first week of the Toyota AFL Finals Series, including flights, accommodation and along with attending one of the Finals matches at the MCG.
