Northern Fury Football Club has signed a two-year premium partnership with Chase Skills, a specialist training and mentoring company for people looking for work.

The partnership will see Chase Skills become the front-of-shirt sponsor for Northern Fury.

“Our partnership with Chase Skills is a great match,” says Fury Chairman, Rabieh Krayem.

“They are a business with growth ambitions, just like Northern Fury is. We want eventually to return to the A-League - and Chase Skills is expanding its operations and footprint to North Queensland.

“Even the name ‘Chase Skills’ is fitting,” says Krayem. “Even though Chase Skills is concerned with job-readiness and vocational skills, we’re both in the skill development business.

“Northern Fury’s long-term aim is to build a club that is a fixture of this community and which also gives boys and girls the skills they need to be achieve their footballing potential.”

General Manager of Chase Skills, Warwick Schmitz, said he was excited for his company to be part of an ambitious club like Northern Fury.

“We understand it’s ‘baby steps’ for Fury and we’re keen to support their work every step of the way.

“I think anyone who follows football in Australia feels that they were hard done by when they were dropped from the A-League, and anyone who understands just how big our country is knows that the northern part of Queensland can’t be ignored.

“We’re expanding our business into north Queensland. Eventually, football must do so again at the professional level also.

“I am very impressed with Northern Fury’s ambitions, its values and the energy and professionalism around the club. It’s a very good fit for Chase Skills,” said Schmitz.

Chase Skills offers courses and training across a range of industries, including accounting, administration and office support, customer service and retail, hospitality, marketing and sales, transport and logistics, warehousing, trades and services.

The Northern Fury – Chase Skills partnership begins on April 1st and runs until the end of the 2015-16 National Premier Leagues (Queensland) season.
