Toowoomba Grammar, Concordia College and St Joseph's College (Toowoomba) make up the majority of the Under 15 Darling Down school-boys squad after the 2014 squad of 23 was announced.
All three schools are well known for their results with AFLQ school programs and all three have had four players each named in the final squad of 23.
Near 60 students trialled for the Under 15 Darling Downs school-boys squad, taking the overall total of trialists for school boys and girls representative sides near 250. Proving Australian Rules is leaving a mark throughout Darling Downs schools.
The 2014 team will contest the State Championships from May 22-25 in Brisbane, with AFLQ Regional Manager Keith Webb excited by this talented group.
"The squad of 23 looks a very strong and talented young group and I believe they will be hard to beat at the upcoming championships," Webb told AFLDD Media.
"In total, 22 of the 23 play club football and we are confident of having the only rookie search player transition across to our club system," Regional Manager Keith Webb added.
Will Curthoy's of Oakey State High School returns as coach in 2014 with long time trainer and Queensland coach Lindsay Collison joining along with Steve Gillespie from Our Lady of the Southern Cross College.
