The North Harbour Basketball Association (NHBA) is a leading regional sports organisation (RSO) that is responsible for the development and provision of basketball programmes covering a full range of activities including leagues & competitions, skills development for players & non-players and representative pathways.

NHBA is embarking on an exciting phase of its development with a strategic plan that is focussed on furthering the already strong growth of basketball in the region and forging collaborative relationships that will position the sport as a leading contributor to recreational activity for people from all walks of life – players and non-players alike.

Key to this plan is the appointment of a permanent CEO with the capabilities to provide the leadership and drive for the successful achievement of the goals and objectives that will ensure a stable and sustainable organisation for many years to come.

To succeed in this role you will need the following attributes:

 Limitless energy and the drive to lead a high performing sporting organisation

 Able to form and manage positive and collaborative relationships across a wide range of stakeholders

 An advocate for the sport of basketball and able to clearly articulate the benefits of participation

 Management ability and commercial nous within a multi-faceted operation that requires a hands-on, "do what it takes" approach at all levels

 Strategic understanding and able to develop and implement plans, policies and systems that create a stable platform for achievement of the organisation’s key objectives and goals

 Fund raising ability and capable of building multiple revenue streams to build a stable financial base

 An inclusive leadership style that embraces the contribution of everyone in the organisation and enables them to be at their best – staff and volunteers
