TAC Cup internships

AFL Victoria has a number of internship opportunities on offer in season 2014 across its three competitions: Peter Jackson VFL, TAC Cup and Victorian Women’s Football League.

We are looking for communications or journalism students to assist with the coverage of these competitions online via our websites (articles, video production and photography), and in printed materials such as the AFL Victoria Record.

The interns will receive hands-on experience and feedback with article writing (previews, reviews and profile pieces), will receive a by-line for each piece produced and will make connections with players, staff and media at state league level.

Skills that are needed for the intern positions include:

Good understanding of the competition you will be writing for
The ability to promote positive stories from within the competition
Excellent writing skills for either feature articles or match based coverage
